Parachute Health, the leading DME platform offering the full range of online DME order options, has joined AAHomecare as its newest Diamond Partner, the partners reported in a press release Monday. “We’re gratified to see another highly regarded company step up their support for high-impact DME public policy efforts at a critical time for this industry,” said Tom Ryan, AAHomecare president and CEO, about the decision.
AAHomecare noted their support of Parachute Health’s efforts to enable efficient workflows and improved order accuracy at far lower costs compared to non-automated alternatives.
In particular, they praised the Parachute Platform for its unique ability to offer full-service ePrescribing plus the face-to-face notes from MDs that are essential to ensuring orders are properly completed and reimbursed.
In addition to increasing their financial support of the Association, Parachute Health will be working closely with AAHomecare’s Payer Relations Council to help demonstrate the value and practicality of DME ePrescribing for health plans — in critical homecare categories from oxygen to CPAP to diabetes and many more.
“Forward-thinking DME stakeholders like Parachute Health see the opportunity to improve the reimbursement and regulatory environment for our industry and are demonstrating their commitment to making that a reality,” said Ryan. “Increased adoption of DME ePrescribing benefits providers and patients alike, … [and] will lead to further innovation and better solutions serving an increasingly important component of the healthcare continuum.”

“We are excited to forge this relationship with AAHomecare, the leading nonprofit organization responsible for information and advocacy relating to home medical equipment (HME) and the HME industry,” said Dustin Eubanks, Parachute Health’s SVP of Partnerships, about the decision. “The Parachute Health network helps everyone in the DME ecosystem, and especially patients, win by reducing cost and increasing quality with less administrative burden. We wanted an advocacy partner who is aligned with digital and health plan expansion strategies — particularly with the increased activity we have seen on the Parachute Network due to home-based care models — and we found that in AAHomecare,” he concluded.
